Keyword Difficulty Assessment Tool
This tool, provided by the good folks over at Developer Shed (SEO Chat), allows you to view the relative difficulty of optimizing your website for a specific keyword phrase. If a group of words has a difficulty rating higher than 50 percent or so, we would recommend looking for a slightly more obscure phrase.
Remember, the more competitive a search term is, the more you'll pay for Pay-Per-Click services (such as Google AdWords or Microsoft adCenter), and the harder it will be to get into the top ten results on the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). The "holy grail" of SEO is a keyword phrase that is searched for often by many people, but is not currently being very actively competed for.
